M&T Legal is a full-service boutique law firm based in Mumbai. The firm was established by Deesha and Siddhanth — two lawyers who met in law school, spent the years that followed building their practices across some of India's most demanding legal environments, and came together with a shared ambition: to build a firm of their own, on their own terms.
The firm brings together two complementary practices: a general corporate, funds, and advisory practice led by Deesha, and a maritime, disputes, and regulatory practice led by Siddhanth. Together, they cover the complete arc of a client's legal requirements: from the contracts that establish a business and the capital that grows it, to the disputes that test it and the regulatory frameworks that govern it. Clients who instruct M&T Legal do not need to look elsewhere as their legal needs evolve. The firm grows with them.
M&T Legal was founded in Mumbai with an international outlook, advising clients across industries and across borders. The firm represents domestic startups and established Indian corporates as well as cross-border mandates and foreign businesses with India and emerging markets interests. Its long-term ambition is clear: to be recognised as one of India's foremost boutiques in its areas of practice, and as a firm that represents a new standard for what modern legal counsel in India can look like.
